a murano bird decanter with pinecone motif - if asked, leroy will respond that he isn't quite sure what kind of bird it is, but she's lovely regardless (as he says this, he'll touch henri's cheek with his thumb and smile pensively). the decanter is filled with a perfume made by fischersund - the perfumery they visited in iceland - and is a mix of wildflowers from henri's garden, pine trees from the surrounding forest, and a third ingredient that one can't quite place...
roy takes henri for a walk, and somewhere on the forest floor:
too much time has passed since it was placed here. it has been stationary, enduring sunny days and stormy weather and undergoing the process of slow erosion. it's only ceramic, after all, and as sturdy a substance it is that substance is still fallible. it wonders why it was placed here to begin with, somewhere so out of the way and lonely - yet lovingly placed. it can recall warm hands setting it on the forest floor, fingers lingering as a low voice explained how it would be found and how much joy it would inevitably bring. but time passed and no joy was brought - just the silence of a forest that wasn't really silence, the occasional curious bug and a few snails that mistook its appearance for genuine. one time it thought it was found - two men stumbling upon it and commenting on its ruined appearance before they left. it knew it wasn't for them but it had hoped regardless - after all, everyone hopes to belong to someone. time passes and for some inexplicable reason it trusts the voice that told it how much joy it would bring- it waits for the person its meant for knowing that someday - sooner or later - it'll make that person happy.

waiting for her outside of apfel's stall:
a sheer, pink, ruffled gown by gucci. roy didn't merely pick this because it's very sheer and very low cut (though these were factors in his decision making). no- the real draw for this gown was its movement. not pictured is the second gift: a matching saddle pad and reins for apfel. there's no note to be found, and roy will not direct henri to this gift. it merely waits for her, wishing to be found.
