heinz sommer is the tallest sommer on record, standing at a gigantic 6'6". he's very spry for his age, exercises every morning by taking a long walk around the farm's property. he wakes up early, goes to bed early, is present at every meal and can talk your ear off while asking you plenty of questions about your own life. though spry, he does walk with a cane. some might refer to opa as "a real horse boy". you can find him conferring with is farm horses, hugo and odo, frequently. he's also eager to talk about apple farming, as it is his life's work!

a story teller through and through, heinz is the originator of the repetitive story - ever heard a sommer tell you something you've already heard? well, that quirk had to come from somewhere...

oma

oma was an apple farmer and collector of occupations, a noted beatnik who fell in love with a hot shirtless guy who rode a horse. the child of nudists who were part of the german nudist wave in opposition to industrialism & fascism. original disaster bisexual. a social butterfly.

henry sommer

Actor, capitalist and hater of soviets, incredibly popular and lauded as one of Europe's great contemporary actors. Suffered a brief period of inactivity in the early 2000s, but is currently having a renaissance (thanks in part to Mamma Mia).

often seen with a camera and being warm to everyone except his own children! henry sommer is very personable to outsiders and will treat you as if you are his own child (like, in the traditional sense). why? he's a networker! he networks. note that he's less amiable with those of less influence, but never outright ignores them.

there is nothing in this world henry loves more than his wife, lina sofia.

her love for her husband is anything but a performance, however, and the two of them have been happily married for over thirty-six years. henry is the love of her life, and always comes first in her affections much to the chagrin of their kids.

dry, a messy drunk, easily exasperated, toes the line of being a debbie downer. he's often referred to by his siblings as "an ent", they're not sure if he likes this or not (he doesn't).

bastian sommer

in a very social setting he's mostly an observer but is still having a good time when it's people he's comfortable with! if a situation overwhelms him he'll just leave.
